Restoration in a Can - Barn Find to Showroom Condition
We’re not some elaborate restoration channel and we don’t pretend to be. In fact, we explore the opposite route here - cheap and dirty. Just how good of a motorcycle restoration job can you do with some treatments, sandpaper and a whole lotta wax on and wax off?

Does anyone have a playlist that he use in the video? Can find the second song.
When I was a kid my best friend had one of those...exactly like that,.... and i had 1978 rm50...the suzuki was MUCH faster, but the yamaha looked cooler
I have that exact bike
"The longer you spend rubbing it in, the better". Ah yes. Of course.
That looks like brand new!!!!!
Anyone else super impressed with the homemade sand-blaster? I've never thought of that before...
what did u put on to make the old paint go away on the exhaust, engine parts???
A stripper. Er... a paint stripper, I mean. ~RF9
this musicc is so fucking trash and loud
I have a engine for one of these ones really good shape
Just noticed after watching this for the 10th time, but Ryan never mentioned the paint stripper. Did I miss it?
I love your restoration but I would attest the original graphics to the Yamaha dirt racing star of the era, Bob "Hurricane" Hannah, not their road racing star, Kenny Roberts. I got to race the banana yellow YZ250 of that era, and of course my pit bike was a matching YZ80! BTW your hockey comment was fightin' words! U-S-A, U-S-A !!
It's like the movie. The dirt bike kid.
The justin stab lol

BARN FIND MY *SS. LOOK AT ALL THE BULLSH*T BARN FIND VIDEOS ON LTworlds. HILARIOUSLY STUPID.
It was fun to watch the way he represents his entire skills in a unique way.!!
Seeing this I can only think about one happy kid driving this little powerhouse. Those things where/are awsome !
Please respond I have a 1982 Yamaha 60cc I need to find parts cheap missing piston and rings a few other things I have no clue where to look
Why would you 'fake hide' and 'fake find' the bike? It was also clearly 'fake dirty' freshly coverd with some dirt by hand. In my opinion there is no need to fool the people. I like your chanal but this was some fake and dramatic BS to promote some cleaning products. You could do so without fooling people. @FortNine
3:48 fcking lamo I spit out my coke 😂😂😂😂😂😂 TruDOPE
Best restoration video for a vintage I have seen thank you good sir
What brand of motorcycle lift is that?
why did u go through a fence
I have a 74 suzuki GT750 that needs restored.John from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania.
“Like a Canada US hockey game” 🤣
How does he talk like that I love it 😂
Aloominum 😂
God the music is terrible in this video
Just wow, well done, and very inspiring. Have an AG200 or so that I'd like to try this on. Thanks guys, keep up the amazing content.
Your voice is like in the radio in 1970s haha
How long did it take you to restore that bike? It looks amazing!
Ultimate
So it's pretty....hows it run? all show and no go? what's the point if it's a POS? lipstick on a pig and...well....it's still a pig...Now if you did a ring job, clutch replace, carb rebuild...now we're talking....
Awesome little bike I had a 125 ...went like a rocket
Well I didn't know that I Yamaha made a yz50 cool
My first bike was a used 1976 Yamaha DT175. I was 14 years old and king of the hill !!
Excellent job, I would have sanded the paint off the face of the Yamaha letters on the case, just nick pickin, looks great.
Pro tip: When “dousing the carb with cleaner”, counterintuitively you want to avoid using carb cleaner. Couldn’t tell if you were still using the electrical contact cleaner in the video but I’d be leery of that too. The problem is the solvent in carb cleaner will attack any rubber bits inside the carb like o-rings gaskets and needle seat for the float. Instead, use automotive brake cleaner which will not harm butyl rubber or neoprene. It also blasts the dirt a lot harder out of those big cans.
Another great production but c'mon man you gotta let us hear the damn thing!
I love Yamahas of this era. Currently restoring an 82 XT125 and it's just such a lovely old bike. Great channel, keep making vids!
“Buck off?”
Another trick to get the rubber grips off the bars is to blast them with hairspray, and they just pull right off after that for some reason
I like how the engine and frame have been painted as well if you look before he painted the side cases to when he put them back on they have been painted
Thinking about restoring my Big Bear 400 and trading it in for TW 200. thanks for the video, I've been watching your stuff all day lol
Was thinking, WHY throughout this video. Why did you brother? Why am I still watching? 10 shameless adds, etc. But the money shot at the end made it worth while. A 2mt tall guy wheeling a 50cc pee wee....priceless.
Its not a pw, its a yz
You forgot to give that chain a good cleanup... The rest was awesome
4:22. The longer you spend rubbing it in, the better.
i LOVE the stab at trudeau black face
The production quality, b roll and overall watchability of these videos 🔥. Even my 18 month old watches with rapt attention while she sips her milk!
I have the 2 stroke 50
Im taking these products to my bathroom so I can look so damn good 👍 😆
Yz50 g my first dirtbike ever I learned to ride on this
Try steel wool it works really good👌
Witniss a man steal live at night😂
Brilliant video and love the live shots of work vs just before and after!
My grandma has a broken down GT80 in her old barn. They sold the house with the barn and I went to go check if it's there still and it is. It has almost nothing on it though, basically just mostly the engine stuff, seat, and frame.
its a zuzuki and he put a yamaha stikers lol
I've bought a few crap bikes. A Suzuki ts50x. 1986. And a Honda xr250r 1996. Where almost no parts of the bikes are usable. In most cases the engine ran ok and they had MOT. (UK) this bike looked worse than my bikes yet was actually better mechanically.
This guy always impresses.
just found this video / your channel, great content guys
That Trudeau joke was perfect 👍👍👍
After all that I didn't get to hear it run......
beautiful mini jewel. Fantastic job, well done. Kudos
I’m thinking woohoo an 80s YZ465! My first big motox’er. Wait what? 50cc? Okay let’s see what you got.
What level of sand paper do you use on the the plastic tank
My next door neighbour in Hope BC had one of these in his garden shed that his son had been working on.
Anyone know the tune at 5:50? Love it.
What year is this I play it without sound
Wouldn’t the Pacific Northwest be Japan and eastern Russia because it’s the north west of the pacific and not the north west of the us

Pardon is your dad Mr Bean ?
Sweet
ive watched this video like 30 times and i dont know why its just amazing
That was definitely NOT 10 products - I get the purpose, but oof.
Consuela will be thrilled you are using lemon Pledge.
Howd he get those black number plate stickers I want some for my 84 yz80
eBay! Not genuine, but decent quality and quite cheap. ~RF9
After seeing this video I was inspired to fix up a bike myself. 1979 MX175 went from a junker that burned solely motor oil to an absolute BEAST of a bike. Did a whole lot more than paint n' cleaning but this still helped get me goin. Great vid, great channel, great shop, great everything
awesome stuff..keep it up
#respect......
Crazy I just bought one in same condition just spray painted to high hell and I love the bike trying to sell dm me anyone interested
Who’s yard did u steal it from !!! Breaking in and entering
I liked the original seat cover over that new one
Never heard it run lol
I'm so glad I subscribed to your channel! It's so much fun to watch, listen and marvel at what you do. Awesome job on that "David" after working on some "Goliaths". :D
The Yamaha Logo on the saddle is missing is there no way to put this on there? Great Bike😍👍💪
you take motorbikes that are not yours, their name is stealing!!!!
I can't believe you stiffed us on hearing it! i was dying to hear this thing fire up last time i heard one I was 7 lined up next to me on my xr75. in a NETRA enduro some where in Vermont it sounded so ballsy mine sounded like a fart .. in fact it still sounds like a fart ...
does anyone know the soundtrack in 10:00
did we really just say "yam-huuuu"
That's my bike lol
I thought that pj1 high temp stuff was matte, the exhaust was matte but how did the cases become gloss, just wondering because im restoring a 1977 yamaha IT250 and I ordered some pj1 high temp for the exhaust and engine cases but am now hesitant to use it because Im pretty sure the cases and exhaust were gloss originally
What an awesome video, great suspense, great cinematography, great music, just an all round fantastic and heart warming video. Thanks guys!
Ah yes, bike necromancy
"Like a Canada-US hockey game, the longer you spend rubbing it in, the better" Comedy gold.
This is probably my 10th time watching this
