  • Hi Ryan. i bought a cardo pactalk bold for my helmet as a christmas present to myself and when i set it all up i only had the helmet on my head for about 10 minutes and the speakers were digging in my ears. So plan b was needed. i watched your vlog and i ended up buying the M6 Pro earbuds from Amazon. only £34 UK pounds bargain. they arrived today and they are awesome. the problem has been resolved. No more ear ache and the sound quality is brilliant. So thank you to you for your good advice. i am well chuffed

  • yeah the MEE L6 earbuds are great, but I'm not impressed by the memory foam tips... first of all the first set lasted me about 6 months, and the replacement set (which wasn't that cheap for friggen foam tips) lasted about 3. once a tear in the foam starts forming they quickly become useless because they no longer form a proper seal and audio starts leaking out (and in). second of all they absorb every last molecule of dead skin and ear wax like a sponge.and since you can't really clean foam tips with water and soup, it's only a matter of time before they get too gross to wear. that's if they haven't already disintegrated from daily use as I point out above. so I've switched back to the "useless" rubber tips that come with the earbuds and honestly I prefer them. you get like 6 different pairs, so one of them is bound to fit well enough, they'll last longer than the electronics, and they're easier to clean.

  • I bought a pair of Shure SE215's and never looked back - exactly what I need, but I understand everyone is different. I will never be a fan of Bluetooth audio - you can't help but lose audio fidelity, and faffing around with chargers ain't my idea of convenience. The Shures have got those memory foam ear buds with the metal cable that wraps around behind your ears and I've ridden for hours and hours on end in total comfort and audiophile bliss- plus the sound cancelling is so good I can quite happily put my music volume down to its very lowest setting and still hear it clearly over what wind noise does make it through - it's a definite recommendation from me

  • Comming from an audiophile. If you want in-ear cheap headphones that sound just as good something x10 the price, then you can't go wrong with the kz-ate or the Rock zircon. I can compare both of them to something like my Shure Se846 of cause they are not quait as well tuned or balanced. But they are freaking close to perfect and I mean the Shure Se845 is a $1000 earphone. The kz-ate and the rock zircon are both about $10 you just can't go wrong with that

  • I don't know why, but I *cannot* get headphones into my helmet. It's painful, awkward and they fall out as I try to helmet up! I've tried wireless raycons; nope. I figured not, they are pretty chunky. I've tried corded/wireless "around neck" earbuds; Nope. These were the closest, they are tiny and fit pretty deep and the wireless bluetooth and battery sits around my neck. But, it still causes pain and half the time they fall out when I try to pull the helmet over them. I tried standard earbuds, just the most comfortable kind I have; Nope. Still too chunky and painful and they just fall out most of the time. I have bone conduction headphones I really wish I could use, but there is no way.. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated. I'm new to riding and this is my first helmet. I've been riding scooters for years and learning to ride without a helmet for a while. I'm severely claustrophobic so a helmet wasn't really an option. I got the Shark Evoline 3 modular so I could ride with it open, and work my way to having it closed. I don't know if this particular helmet is unfriendly to ear gear, or if I'm doing something wrong. I could definitely use some help. How do people just slip their helmet on no problem, earbuds and all! When I pull my helmet on, hairs always awkwardly pop out the front and I have to try to tuck them back into the helmet, it takes a minute for me to adjust to get the helmet sitting comfortably... I know some of this is due to break-in, but I'd really like to listen to music when I ride. I spend long rides just practicing my skills and doing urban exploration and doing it in silence is kinda weird. Someone help?

    danteelitedanteelitePrieš 11 mėnesių
    • I think while learning, listening to the world you're interacting with at first is ideal. Music should come once you do best practices automatically, so you stay environmentally aware. Questions on old vids, might not be seen. I recommend you find a motorcycle forum for your bike or riding style (like I like advrider) and ask there. Alternatively, you could wander into your local motorcycle retailer with your helmet and ear buds and get help. Also, look for local rides, meetups and ride groups or chat up a biker off their bike. If you look at the earbuds he's recommending Mee M6 pro monitors, they have wire to hook over your ear and memory foam tips to stay in place, so you wouldn't have that pop out pull issue. Those memory foam tips are key, since they provide you the noise isolation needed to protect your hearing. He really briefly showed at 0:11 installation of the other kind of over ear type speakers in the helmet liner. I'm not familiar with that helmet, but maybe there's a video on youtube about speakers and that helmet or at least putting speakers. For that other kind of helmet speaker that he shows, he showed putting it behind the liner. Look for any cardo or sena helmet instruction video and maybe even if it isn't your helmet that will give you enough of a clue. Some helmets include speaker pockets. Look at the helmet liner about on, a little behind your ears. If the liner is removable for washing, then you can just remove it, place the speakers and put it back in over them. He didn't mention them and they aren't cheap, but I've heard lots of recommendations of the Bose Quietcomfort active noise cancelling ear buds for motorcycling, use the ambient setting to hear the noises around you, without the deafening decibels. You could use them by themselves or with a cardo bluetooth com, etc. If it's really just too much hassle, there are motorcycle bluetooth speakers that you can just mount to your bike. If you do a lot of highway, get the kit with 4 speakers, so you have two in front and behind you.

I spent nearly $500 on a Momentum INC noise-reduction helmet (great for phone, crap for music) and for a year now I had been looking at the $1000 NR earbuds but I couldn't afford to pull that trigger. Listen to this guy, OMG he pairs the M6-Pro with foam inserts. BOOM! I finally have tunes in my ears at hiway speeds! Excellent advice, excellent perspective. thanks, thanks.

  • This video is pretty bad (compared to what you usually do), here is why: First of all, I absolutely adore this channel and it helped me a lot. You (plural) are awesome!!! Now the bad part... Festival earbuds do exactly the same (not all of course) and have the sophisticated sound filters as well but come at a maximum of half the price compared to the winner of this contest because you are not paying for the "specific for motorcycles". They also come in all forms and shapes (including those nifty containers) which makes them much more versatile. Also, I was missing the usual additions and tips that make this channel so good. Scarfs can help with sound protection and there is the so-called quiet helmet (noise reduction) in addition to noise-canceling systems. Of course, this is not technically part of your video but it would have been nice to be mentioned that there are more options. A little tip as a side note: Those metal containers usually have an o ring and are waterproof. Just store them with contact lense water and you won't have the "not wet use spit" problem. ;-) Anyways, cheers for the content, love this channel and the professionality. Thank you!

  • I purchased the M6 pro's due to your recommendation. All I can say is, you were kidding right? These have to be the tinniest sounding ear buds I've ever heard. Unless I push them so far into my ear that it causes serious pain, there isn't the slightest hint of mid range or bass. The free earbuds that came with my 5 dollar am/fm radio are superior. I can take a joke but come on. You should have at least given the big wink, when you called these the best. I do find your reviews thorough and entertaining by the way. You just have to be clearer when your just kidding.

    GinkaGinkaPrieš metus
    • They most certainly do not, as they only add more noise. Wind noise can really damage your ears at high speeds and at those speeds you’ll hear nothing but wind noise anyway. A law against hearing protection is (almost by definition) a backwards law. Be sure to get a very quiet helmet!

    • The panasonic's sound good. You'd need to get the memory foam tips mentioned or DIY to actually get the real decibel reducing ear protection. I didn't even ride with my panasonics and I'm gentle and they broke shockingly fast on me (in some months). $1.50 Daiso ear buds I have gotten to last over 2 years, but I think they usually go just under 1. I wouldn't recommend Daiso's for moto, but I suppose between memory foam or DIY and your helmet, it could work. Not sure about highway higher end, though.
