Me who had a fake plastic helmet that said elf and had little cushioning and no chin cushion and a short sleeve jeans and vans
What I would recommend for the potential of nighttime driving use a dual visor helmet
2020 version pls 😀
I know this video is 2 years old, but does anyone have recommendations on goggles? I think the Dragon MXV are discontinued?
Song at the start?
Real question. Why not just get the mx9 mips adventure? Its the same thing with a face shield, no?
Best lightweight helmet for winter? Visor please?
$1000 for a "cheap" outfit
Cheaper than a hospital or a funeral home.
What is the song used in the background? Does anyone know?
Who in tits sake puts their goggles on first? Damn fake "dual sport" riders.
Motorcycle love culture combined with comedic stylings you can only get from Canada. Is Norm McDonald writing jokes for you guys?
Please never wear a mx helmet without the visor. You look like a noob
How bad is it to use a Bell MX9 in a naked motorcycle like the Yamaha MT-07 (I'm in South Europe)? I mainly commute in the city (no highway at all) and currently have a Schuberth C3. During Summer, with all the traffic and slow riding, I find the bucket really hot and almost unbearable. I know it is a modular helmet, but I do not want to sacrifice safety, riding it open. So, is it ok to stick with an adventure helmet or should I look for a different solution (like a Shoei NXR) instead? Much appreciate your opinion on this.
This guy should do a stand up act. He's very funny AND informative. That's not easy when talking about some kinda dull gear.
I know I am late to the party here. Any thoughts on the MX-9 Adventure MIPS DLX? Face shield that fold up for use with goggles. Does it work well?
Even watching a video published a year ago is chock-a-block with info. Thank you Fort Nine Info Priests.
It muat be time for an update of these lists, eh Ryan?
The climbing sign, hook strap!
3:28 and 7:40
love your videos man. dry humor keeps me coming back
( whatever the hell this is ....) its a carabiner for mountain climbing... js.. 😎😉
here is some commuter gear: fnp.e.fnd.to/Rybak
So you commute on your motorcycle with an MX helmet & goggles? The only reason I ask is because I'm getting ebike this March and the fastest speed goes 28 mph and I plan on using it just on paved roads. According to what you're saying this might be a better bet instead of a dual sport or moto helmet. Any help is appreciated thanks!
Yeah good luck with these goggles when it rains, it’s also inconvenient to carry two things instead of a full face helmet.
Asking for trouble riding on the road with blocked side vision.
3:28 “Welcome to Racer TV”
WhAt a coincidence 2, I typaed this comment with t my glovrs on as weLll !
I'm the real Squid
5:02 hindi text Kaveri Who read that?
I’m in the process of getting my first bike and unfortunately I forgot my build is not going make finding quality protective gear easy. I’m 6’5 weighing a whopping 150lbs wet along with a waist size of 32in and leg length of 36in. I will also note that I can’t afford to spend hundreds upon hundreds of dollars on a Dainese jacket. I’m poor so cost to protection efficiency is very important to me. Preferably something I can make do with year round as the climate in my state of Alabama fluctuates so much unless it’s summer there’s no telling the temperature the next day. Thank you in advance to anyone who can respond.
I plan on using my airsoft goggles as protection. change my mind if it sounds bad. They are anti fog and hard to penetrate.
I just got my mx9 mips in the mail. I love it, thanks for the recommendation Ryan.
Can the MX9 please get better paint?
Shoutout to the Jane splitter lol
6:28 climbing maybe?
Yeah, but then my outfit would cost more than my bike.
"The best peg feel in town" at 8:46. I laughed.
Climbing. It was rated for climbing.
*sad noises* I can't get them from you or rev cause they don't deliver to me.
Reverence of Lord Kanye.
i rock a similar helmet setup. love it
I tried to buy the J-8 - Sept 2019 - but they seem out of stock with no back order provision anywhere :-( Anyone know why, and where they might have them in size 13 (USA)
In one of his vids he said never buy a DOT helmet yet his first helmet that he shows is a DOT helmet
You really missed the point of the DOT video. He says the DOT rating alone is useless, but the Bell he showed here also had ECE rating. Any good helmet has DOT rating, but not every DOT rated helmet is good
This needs and update
Why not use CE level 2 armor? Mind you, I have yet to find CE level 2 hip armor which matches RevIT's model RV33 in size and shape.
Great outfit and love the out of the box thinking regarding the lid. I never thought about going dirt for commuting, but makes a lot of sense. Commuting in London is probably comparable to extreme off roading anyway!
It sucks that the comparable biltwell helmet has a garbage shield on it with no locking points so it’s either shut or openish till you hit a bump
"Cheap gear", first thing on the list is a 330 dollar helmet -_-
Check again, the Bell is $160
I got a question. If commuters should wear goggles what if you wear glasses?
@Sybeard I have to do the buying for accessories online unfortunately. No shop within a reasonable range. Thanks for the help though I will look out for OTG.
@Narax You can look specifically for OTG (over the glasses) goggles if you want. Most goggles have decent clearance off your face from the foam. I just went to my local motorcycle shop and tried some on. I have pretty thick lenses, and wider frames and didn't have an issue.
@Sybeard Anything particular I should look for in a goggle in that case?
Ive had no problem fitting goggles over top of my glasses
I believe the "whatever the hell that is" at 6:28 is a Carabiner .
Should do the update on these series
You're never picking up a chick wearing GOGGLES!!!!
This guys entertaining and informative. What more could you ask for?
Strange you are very organized but you don‘t iron your shirts.lLke the professional style of your clips!
The sales man looks like the king in game of thrones 😁
Zippers that close down, stay closed. I'm surprised more manufacturers don't do that.
I have been watching you a lot lately but your links only work on canada, make them international pls.
Great video man 👨 Thumbs up 👍 Thanks for sharing Peace
How loud and ventilated is the helmet on the road? Since I live in England the weather is very bipolar and i want to know if it is a wind tunnel that loud
It is as loud as an helmet can get
Please do same for 2019! Keep rush shoes!
That's a carabiner symbol dude. They're used in climbing, so i'm really not sure what they have to do with motorcycles. However, they're also quite useful for keeping things attached to other things, so they could theoretically be used to keep things attached to your bike.
6:28 - "What ever the hell that is" - It's a medallion - so I take it to mean winning?
Diving fins?
no good to me , I was born in '71 XD
Can you do the equivalent for this as a combo between a commuter and tourer? I wanna be able to go on longer weekend and even daily rides than a pure "commuter" would, as I get out and about more for pleasure than business given how my workplace is in walking distance. At the same time, I don't want my moto gear to be loud. I also live in a terribly hot environment during the summer, and may be moving to a place that's just as hot, but has a colder winter. So, what I'm thinking is this, but full face version with some goodies that help it on a naked bike, as well as more ventilation for the other gear. I'll have over-wear rain gear in a storage spot on my bike, so the main priorities are looking 'normal', being ventilated, having the best protection within those confines, and a full face helmet(perhaps a dual sport helmet for the extra ventilation of a moto helm while retaining the face shield? Perhaps the Icon Airflight?)
I wish we had those kind of gear around here in Brazil.
Ive been a subscriber for a while now. I really enjoy your videos. You’re thorough and your production quality is top notch. Keep up the great work my friend.
maybe you can make movie about most comfortable shirt, trousers and boots for very hot summer?
Dude what a great review on that helmet i just bought same one a couple days ago and im waiting to arrive soon i didint knew it had so much features. Great vid mate.
Dude, where are you from? Nevermind. 4:31
So the Roland jacket has been discontinued...damn. Its a nice jacket.
Lol @ 0:26! I have the bright neon Scorpion helmet, and a high-viz Aerostich suit! I often describe myself as a "walking highlighter".
today i got hit in the face by a large bug.
Would you make a review of exhausts? Get in touch.
1:20 I have the plain version and I took the adjuster screws off and tried to take peak off but it feels like it's on super tight still and it could break...
a thousand bucks is not cheap!
"dinner jacket"
Grand total for gear? If you would be so kind as to reference.... Assuming none of the gear is on hand. ( For those of us to check for specific facts )
It's a bit below 1k CAD, at the time of filming, but magical Canadian dollars change their worth in tandem with the alignment of the planets. And also I think Fortnine buys at the lowest prices possible at the time and then sells at the lowest price possible at the time, so the grand total will fluctuate.
Put that peak back on, it looks terrible without it
Is it me or does the chameleon seem to have a sherlock Holmes cap on😂
What’s myleeosis protection? I know I butchered the spelling on that.
Thanks!!
Malleolus, the bony bumps on each side of your ankle.
Omg this guy is so annoying
Cheap and Klim don’t really go together.
Great video`s. Like the Casey Neistat for bikers... or is it only me?
6:27 climbing?
500k congrats!
You speak so slow, every time i watch your video I've to increase the playback speed😂
I like the jacket and pants and wouldn't mind adding armor but unsure about the boots and kind of undecided on the gloves. Also I soon will be a beginner rider any advice ?
I love my 509 Altitude MX for hot city driving but it is loud as hell
Your video's are equally informative and hilarious, dare I say punny? Thanks for making all these. I dont know that you'll ever top the killing the KLR video, but applauds to all your gear reviews being entertaining.
Your Canadian and the Canadian accent sucked .
cheap gear....
Fuck it's all advertising!!
That goggle strap angle is appalling
I've been wondering, is it ok to wear ski goggle with that kind of helmet?
Maleolo protection ?
i need your opinion about this gloves in this link www.ebay.com/itm/283346325390
What ever the hell that is at 6:28 is climbing that's a clip
I jist found this channel and id have to say this guy has one of the best motorcycle channel personalities out there.
It’s probably somewhere but, does anyone know the bike on the wall?
If Lebowski is The Dude #1 - this guy comes pretty close to being The Dude #2
